"Not sure if I am an evil genius, or just someone who watches too much TV"
I am a Texas college student (studying Management of Information Systems), and I am a Tech enthusiast, computer geek and sci-fi fan.
I queue most posts but will do a post dump about once every few weeks.
its kind of the tumblr store. its great for buying vintage and fandom crafts(aka the hipster and the fandom sides of tumblr). really Etsy and Tumblr should get together and do some like coop stuff (like easy interchanges, like you could buy from bloggers or you can post links to the stuff you buy to kind of show off the stuff you buy (and to show your followers the cool shit you bought, because they will probably want your own)).
so ya karp if you are reading this go talk to the people who own Etsy and ether discuss buying them out (and intergrating the two services as they have the same user base) or joining forces.
can we stop griping about updates?
seriously, the only thing about updates that has ever annoyed me is when they brake Missing-e but missing-e usually fixes that soon.
and its a free site, you aren’t paying for it, so don’t gripe, never look a gift horse in the mouth.
now they should have a suggestion box, there are some things that would be nice (like a proper chat mechanism or being able to reblog replies and questions). and what they really need to put their time into is making the backbone more resilient so that it’s less prone to crashes.
but we don’t pay for the site, so they can do what they want (if they want to give us a vote they can but they don’t have to).
first off I don’t think we are using them right. they are labeled ”Chat” not dialogue so maybe what we are supposed to do is start a conversation with them, and then each reblog someone adds a line with their name as the source. that is why Tumblr hasn’t added a chat system because they think they already have one. also this method is best for RP’s as you can just put the characters name instead of your own or your URL. this keeps a proper log for others to read.
second is that we want a way to comment on the chat posts. I would recommend just putting a divider (a line of dashes) and then put your URL and your comment. but really if this works like it should (in point one) then you shouldn’t have to comment you could just join in the conversation.
So please reblog this so that this idea reaches everyone and this type of post can be used right.
